New solution based on artificial intelligence and big data for agriculture

Raw Data, was presented on April 23 at the Seville headquarters of the College of Agricultural Engineers of Andalusia.

The main objective of Raw Data is to reduce uncertainty through prediction models so that technical teams and managers of the food sector can anticipate and improve their decisions related to:

  • harvest planning and prediction (volume and maturation)
  • the evolution of quality parameters,
  • crop protection against meteorological risks and / or pests and diseases

One of the benefits of this solution is that it allows obtaining with great historical reliability and predictions of meteorological variables through virtual meteorological stations, without the need to install equipment in the field.

The presentation was made within the framework of the day entitled “Application of new technologies to the industry supply chain. ” They also contributed their experiences in the application of technology to companies such as DNV-GL, Grupo El Ciruelo and Agriplace.

The attendees were able to participate both in person and online through videoconferencing, which facilitated the attendance of a significant number of attendees.

They also received an invitation to create a demo account on to learn first hand about this big data solution for agriculture.

Raw Data arises from the Executive Master in Big Data Science of the UIC (International University of Catalonia), the company eFoodPrint and several organizations of the fruit and wine sector, such as Fruits de Ponent, Cerima Cherries or Vitalpe.
